LOUIS N. VASQUEZ (Born April 11, 1987 in Corsicana, TX) is a football player for the San Diego Chargers. He played college football for Texas Tech. AT the 2009 NFL Combine, Vasquez benched pressed 225 pounds 39 times. His 39 repetitions were the highest of any participant at the combine. Vasquez was drafted in the 3rd round (78th) overall by the San Diego Chargers.


2007 JUNIOR SEASON

Big 12 All- Conference Selections…One of the most dominant linemen in school history…helped lead the program to its fifth NCAA Passing Title…did not allow a sack all season…offensive line only allowed 18 sacks in 763 pass attempts…started all 13 games…one of the top lineman in the league, named to several preseason all-conference teams…provided great protection for the nation’s leading passer, Graham Harrell…offense averaged 40.9 points per game, the second-highest total in school history…the unit also averaged 529.6 yards of total offense per game, the second-highest in school history.

2006 SOPHOMORE SEASON

All-Big 12 Conference Honorable Mention…started in all 11 games played…integral component on offensive line that allowed only 18 sacks…number was better than the 36 allowed in 2005…line yielded a sack once in every 35.4 pass attempts, which was the nation’s best…first-year starting QB Graham Harrell flourished in his sophomore campaign being the line’s protection…offense was among the top 10 in passing, scoring and total offense…turned in dominating performances night-in and night-out…out-muscled defensive linemen and linebackers as sophomore RB Shannon Woods ran to All-Big 12 First Team honors.
